Another watershed based grassroots local organization formed recently. The new Muskrat Watershed Council will be addressing issues related to phosphorus loading of waterways in the Muskrat watershed, which has been described by the Ministry of Environment as one of the worst cases in Ontario.
The recently revised and released Ontario Provincial Policy Statement highlights the need for official plans to include a watershed perspective.
