The Bonnechere River Watershed Project has partnered on a new exhibit entitled `Watershed`, at the South of 60 Arts Centre in Barry’s Bay. The exhibition, inspired by the work of the Bonnechere River Watershed Project, features works inspired by the Madawaska and Bonnechere River watersheds. The intention of the exhibition is to reflect on the role that humans play in stewardship and respect for water. Many types of artistic media are represented in the exhibit, including photography, oil and acrylic painting, collage, woodturning and sculpture, by local artists Joyce Burkholder, Tony Cowan, Laurie Wagner, Doug De LaMatter, Kathy Haycock, Jerome Coulas, and Linda Sorensen, among others. The juried exhibit will run until July 17, 2010.

In this photo, videographer Leo Freemark interviews South of 60 curator, Anya Blake about the new Watershed exhibit. Footage from the interview will be used as part of the Nature in Your Neighbourhood video series that the Bonnechere River Watershed Project and the Ottawa River Institute is producing in partnership with TVCogeco.
