BRWP Co-hosts 3rd Annual Renfrew County Stewardship Forum

The Bonnechere River Watershed Project co-hosted, along with the Ottawa River Institute, the 3rd Annual Renfrew County Stewardship Forum on Friday May 9th. Dozens of participants from a variety of interest groups attended the Forum, that took place at the Marguerite Centre in Pembroke. The theme for this year's Forum was 'Celebrating Our Watersheds- Trails and Tributaries' and featured presentations by; Shawna Babcock on the Renfrew County Active Transportation Strategy, Alistair Baird on the Renfrew County Trails Strategy, Jim Meness on the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan and the CN/CP Rail and Trails, Kathy Lindsay who gave an overview of BRWP efforts to steward our tributaries in Renfrew County, and Rosalie Burton, Doug Skeggs, Gerald Rollins and Brian Whitehead who gave information and updates from the Muskrat Watershed Council.
