Celebrate Our River Paddle Series

The Bonnechere River Watershed Project is partnering with numerous other organizations and municipalities this summer to bring group paddle excursions to residents and tourists. Some of the events will feature local food and entertainment, and all will feature plenty of fun! Please bring your own canoe or kayak and gear, (unless registered for the optional explorer canoes on June 7 and Aug 9). Pre-registration is required.

Pre-registration required for all paddles. Shuttling will be organized in consultation with the organizers.

Sat. Jun 7 –Wilber Lake-Eganville Mass Paddle,followed by Local Food and Entertainment. Registration start time - 9:30am at Eganville Arena. A shuttle will be provided to the put-in at Wilber Lake. Mass paddle launch at 11am. Back at arena at 1pm for local food and entertainment. $10. per person. Optional reservations available in 6-person canoes for an additional $20 per person. Sat. Jun 14 - Snake River Paddle Start time 9:30am. Meet on Burwell Road between Durack Line and Micksburg Road. Launch around 10:00am, take-out at 1:00 PM on the Snake River Line between Poff Road and Stoqua Creek Road. $5 per person. There will be shuttles available to get paddlers back to their vehicles. Registration: Info@BonnechereRiver.ca Organized by BRWP, Ottawa River Institute and the Muskrat Watershed Council.

Sat. Jun 21 - Renfrew-Ottawa River Paddle. Start time 9:30am, end of Mutual St. in Renfrew. $5 per person. Bring your own lunch for shoreline stop at the First Chute. There will be shuttles available to get paddlers back to their vehicles.Registration: Info@BonnechereRiver.ca Organized by BRWP, Ottawa River Institute.

Sat. Jul 12 - Eganville-Fourth Chute Paddle & Fiddle, followed by Bonnechere Caves BBQ and Fiddle Do. Registration at 1:00pm at Bonnechere Caves. Shuttle to Eganville for put-in at 2:30. Pull out at 4:30pm. $10 per person. $10 per person for Fiddle Do. Cost for optional BBQ to be determined. Registration: Info@BonnechereRiver.ca Organized by BRWP, Bonnechere Caves.

Sat. Aug 9 - Madawaska Calabogie Cherry Point Park-Burnstown Paddle & Fiddle, Neat BBQ and Fiddle Do. Registration at 1pm at Burnstown Beach. Shuttle to Cherry Point Park for put-in at 2:30. Pull out at 4:30. Neat Coffee Shop BBQ 5 -7pm. Fiddle Do 7-9pm. $10 per person. $20 per person for seat in explorer canoe. $10 per person for Fiddle Do. Optional BBQ $12.
