Riverwatch Map
The Riverwatch Map shows the locations of the benthic macroinvertebrate stream assessments that have been completed in the 2009 sampling season. Click on a marker to find out more information about a particular stream assessment, or zoom in to get a closer view of the area.
Standard google map overlays can be selected using the buttons at the top right of the map, and various GIS information layers can be selected using the checkboxes on the left.
***PLEASE NOTE*** Determining watershed health is an ongoing and active process for the BRWP. The RiverWatch Program is currently revising their benthic stream assessment methods to reduce bias and therefore produce more scientifically sound data. The preliminary “Stream Status” results displayed on this map are based on benthic data analyses from 2009, and will not necessarily be presented in the same manner in the RiverWatch Report, to be published in the Spring of 2011. Site descriptions, comments, and photos for each site are still valid for each of these sampling sites.
