Come hear about the health of the Bonnechere
watershed at the Annual General Meeting of the Bonnechere River
Watershed Project, on Saturday April 14th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the
Sands on Golden Lake. Our guest speakers will be Dr. Murray
Richardson and Sarah Anderson, from Carleton University.
You will also learn about
some of our activities including:
- Our third year of assessing
stream conditions in collaboration with Carleton
University with Dr. Murray Richardson and his research
assistant, Sarah Anderson
- Field days with the Golden
Lake, Hurd's Lake and Lake Clear property owners
- Our shoreline rendevous with
Ottawa River Keeper at the mouth of the Bonnechere as her
Great River project expedition paddled by en route to
Ottawa
- Watershed art exhibitions and
the virtual art gallery on our website
- Our participation in
Waterlution youth leaders workshop with Ottawa River
Keeper, Expo 150 and Algonquin Pow Wow at Pikwakanagan

Nature in Your Neighbourhood (NYN) initiative including
our NYN on-line mapping tool, our NYN Library series
including presentations by the Ottawa River Keeper in
Renfrew on her Great River project and the BRWP chair on
climate change at Elders Lodge at Algonquin First Nation
at Pikwakangan on Golden Lake.
